Resource Bundle form
The Resource Bundle form enables you to add a resource bundle that exists at the current scope level. Resource bundles enable you to localize the N4 User Interface (UI) into a particular language. In addition, you can modify the text in the UI with or without localizing it into a particular language.
To add a resource bundle:
In the Resource Name field, enter a name that uniquely identifies the resource bundle.
Optionally, from the Language drop-down list, select the language for which you want to add the resource bundle.
You can select any one of the languages from the following languages available in the list: English, Spanish, French, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, German, Dutch, Polish, Greek, Turkish, Hebrew, Japanese, Russian, Bulgarian, Ukranian, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Slovenian, Portuguese.
Optionally, in the Description field, enter a short description for the resource bundle.
Click Save.
After you save a resource bundle, you cannot edit the name or the language for the resource bundle. You can only edit the resources (on page 1) associated with the selected resource bundle.
Localization Warnings:
The message key WARN__QUERY_RESULT_TOO_BIG shouldn't be localized/overwritten in the Resource Bundle due to an existing bug in the Carina framework.
Teklogix devices display only the number of characters that are in a field's name within that field, sometimes truncating values within fields with short label names. To ensure all characters within a field display on a Teklogix device, be sure to use a description as long as the value you want to view, including placeholder characters, such as '#', to lengthen the field name if necessary. Once you have created resource bundles, you must edit the name to see more characters in the field. The guidelines in Create shorter labels for N4 Mobile applications also apply to creating longer labels.
You can change the Door Direction drop-down list values only to new labels. If you shuffle the existing labels, such as labeling A (Aft) as North, N4 applications sometimes throw errors.
